Thanksgiving is to celebrate the native Americans feeding european settlers who arrived starving. Black Friday as far as I know was the day after, where retail stores moved from the red and in to the black (profit). I'm Scottish, it was a wee bawfaced American lass that told me that (just if I am wrong
