My nippa has started to take an interest in the history of our Monarchs.

I wondered if there are any games which can be recommended be they RTS or anything else.

Thanks.

Whilst the Paradox titles are excellent games, as Nutella said they all go into alternative history from the point you start and depending on your child's age may be a bit complex for them to get into.

That said, I can't really think of any specifically involving the monarchy, but if you just want a game to stimulate their interest in history generally that can be fairly simple to play I'd recommend Civilization 5 on the lower difficulties.

I seem to remember Age of Empires II had some story-driven campaigns which could be of interest.

Medieval II: Total War is in the alternate history vein of the Paradox games mentioned above but a little less...fiddly.

The Nazi salute the queen did in a film that the Sun reported obviously showed she was a fan of Hitler, so then it has to be Wolfenstein: The New Order.

If you think the royal family is English then Empire: Total War, pretty much sums up the British Empire.

No game to my knowledge includes all the kings and queens of England in one game, so an interactive book or YouTube would be the best, to learn about real history for a child in an easy to understand way.
