Any idea what waterblock I need??

Guys,

I have got a EK-Kit H30 Supreme which I am going to fit to the rig in my sig but I would like to get my GTX 580 involved in the loop so I have a couple of questions:

Is the pump from this kit (DCP 2.2) good enough to run an additional GPU block?

What full cover waterblock will be suitable for my 580 seeing as its A KFA2 card which I cannot seem to find very much information on? I know it is the European version of 'Galaxy' but neither seem to be listed in any of the GPU block manufacturers websites. (EK, Swiftech etc)

My worry is I try to fit a reference card only to find out the hard way its not reference and it shorts out. :eek:

Any help with this or if anyone has any experience with this card, advise would be appreciated.

If so i can't seem to find an answer i am afraid, the clocks are stock but it does have an aftermarket cooler which looks very much like the AC Accelero Xtreme Plus which does fit on reference cards i do believe but i am only 99%.

The H30 kit comes with the DCP 4.0 pump(better than the 2.0 pump), sadly it doesn't appear than your graphics card supports any waterblocks
 
Yes this is the one. Your right - it is the AC Accelero Xtreme Plus. If this is designed for reference cards then hopefully I'll get away with a standard EK block. I'll do some research but I think the only way I'm really going to know for sure is to strip the card. Thanks for the info.
 
I had a look at cooling configurator but doesnt seem to list my card. I have saved the pcb images of the other 580's on the site (ASUS, Gainward etc) to compare them to my card. Just removed it and stripped the cooler from it to check out the board. Not a great photo as my camera is terrible but hopefully get the idea.

I didnt want to remove the heatsinks as I don't have any thermal pads around to renew them with.
However, I think it looks pretty similar to this one from cooling configurator:

All the mounting holes appear to be the same, however your card appaears to have different Caps next to the VRMs??? dont know if this will impact the clearance of the full cover block:confused:
 
Agree with steve45, I'd be carful of those caps next to the vrms.

Usually if you send a photo of your cards PCB to EK they are pretty quick to tell you what will/wont fit...

Either that or just buy the block, see how it looks, if it doesn't fit just DSR it...
