Any idea why my CPU is being reported wrong?

Hi All.

CPU-Z and core temp seem to be reporting my CPU att he wrong values.. any ideas why this might be?

underneath you can see windows reports it at 3 gig ( Multiplier x10 / FSB 300 )

You have SpeedStep enabled which dynamically changes the processor's speed to save power. It isn’t a problem if your machine is stable.

This question gets asked fairly regularly so a quick search should fill in the details.

you can just turn it off in your bios, so your cpu runs @ the right speed -all- the time instead of just when needed - upto you though.

Your FSB is higher than the default speed which should be 266mhz, so your overclocking the cpu which is not going to course any problems.

Didnt even realise I had it turned on...

I would have searched but then i would have put you lot out of a job
