Hi,

We're considering our IT at work and i'm looking for recommendations on a ADSL router.

At the most there are 4 of us in the office and have a 20Mb connection on the cable and wireless network via Vivaciti.

We have a file server in the office with all of our client data, this is backed up in the cloud each day.

Occasionally one or more of us will work from home and need to access files on the server probably just via logMeIn or similar.

Budget is of course as cheap as possible, but an absolute max of about £200.

I'm not expert, but at under £200,

I'd look at Draytek, or others that have VPN in the router, this means you don't have to expose your server to the outside world for logmein etc, you can just expose the router and people can VPN into the network more securely..

The drayteks also used to be slightly more business minded in that you could isolate each LAN port and set rules for it etc, and you can plug in a USB 3G Dongle for connectivity should your ADSL go down for any reason.

A Draytek 2820 (Non wireless) is £150ish
A Draytek 2820N (Wireless N) is £180ish

Just a thought!
