Hi guys

Ive got a Lian Li 011 Mini and the way I have it orientated on my desk I get to see both the front and side glass panels.

What im thinking of trying to do is make the whole of the front glass panel as another screen powered from my gpu.

Ive seen a 14 inch laptop screen that I can buy that comes with all the required kit to set it up as a seperate screen. Its the power to it that's causing me the problem. I need to have a barrel jack power the control board. Any thoughts or warnings if I was to modify an old molex cable I have spare and solder a barrel jack onto the end of it?

Also has anyone done this before in here?

Also i'm guessing that I will be able to change the orientation of the second screen from landscape to portrait is that also correct?

Yea I saw that one mate, that was my inspiration if you like. The only problem there is that the screen used is too thick. The laptop screen would be perfect thickness wise. Im gonna bite the bullet I think and have a go. Nothing ventured and all that :)
How can it be too thick if they've managed to fit it in theirs, or do you mean you don't have 0.9cm (might be less without kickstand) space like they did in your setup?

And as a side thought as it has usb c video input.... assuming motherboard has a spare header, grab a header to usb adapter and a 'right angled' usb cable and you could likely keep it all nice and tidy on the inside without needing to route cables outside.

I’ve got a 280mm AIO in that area in the case so unfortunately there isn’t the 9mm space required. That laptop screen I’ve seen comes in at something like 3.5mm I think it was so it fits the space nicely. Very good shout on the header idea mate though thanks
