Any ideas on how to improve my build?

Hi, I am planning on starting a water cooled computer build later this June and I'm planning for the build to be pretty overkill. Around £1500-1800

I have a fair bit of experience building computers but I believe it's never a bad idea to get more advice ;)

So the build will be water cooled with acrylic tubing, EK CPU/GPU Blocks and an EK Res/Pump. I will also need to purchase radiators, fittings etc.

As for the specs I am thinking:
Core i5 5820K
16GB DDR4 Ram (Probably Kingston)
512GB Samsung Evo SSD
1000W Corsair HX PSU (Because why not)
1TB HDD
A GTX 970/80 or the AMD equivalent when it is released.
Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Case

The PC will be for gaming and video producing on a small/medium scale.

So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on it I will be greatfull :D:D (Components or cooling)

Certainly the above, the HXi are made by CWT and are not bad by any stretch of the imagination, however there is no stretching required to know that they are quite overpriced for what they are. I'd take the EVGA P2 1000W which has longer warranty, is better internally and has the Eco mode which the G2 doesn't have unfortunately

I would grab a Superflower Leadex or EVGA G2 1000W PSU as they have higher quality internals than the Corsair.

Have you decided on a motherboard? there are CPU+board bundles and even a MSI CPU+board+RAM bundle.

I have considered the bundles and I'm pretty keen on the ASUS X99-S/5820k. As for the MSI bundle with CPU and RAM I don't like MSI due to their "Interesting" BIOS update methods"

Another question.

Is it worth going for the 970 or the 980/980ti for a performance boost to run at 60FPS on 1080p or possibly 1440p.

Or should I wait for AMD to release their Fury card?:D

Wait to see what this Fury thing is all about, next week at E3 it should all become clear.

Hi, as for the rest of the system though does it all seem to be good and fit for use? I'm also just wondering if it is necessary for me to buy a fan controller to let me create a fan curve for the 5-7 fans I'll be using. :):)

Okay so I'm about to buy a selection of the parts today as I can't afford not to with the drop in the prices of the SSD etc.

However with my build being black & clear/white themed I wondered if anyone had any advice on the parts before I buy them. I won't be buying the GPU, Res or fittings as I can decide on how to impliment the colour scheme I'm going with unless someone can help with that :(

What are the free additional fans for? the case does come with fans and they are white fan blades if that helps.

It does look ok.

I see Rich from the forums and 8pack keep going on about Noiseblocker eloop fans for rads too, but I havent tried them, the SP120 from Corsair I have (both speed versions) and found them lush.

Excellent, I too already have some Corsair SP120's and have found them to be good so I'm sticking with them. Although the noiseblockers do look good :D

Its in the FAQs and terms+conditions.

You have to wait 30days (with day one being day of purchase) before the claim form shows your date, you have to claim before 60days ends.
