Hi
My house has a panic button in the main bedroom (Wired to a Banham alarm system). It all works perfectly/ is serviced by Banham, but we are reconfiguring the room, and as a result, the panic alarm sits right over the edge of a wardrobe I am planning on attaching to the wall.
If I remove the cover, as per the pic, the remains of the panic button protrude into the room by less than the skirting, so its all fine.
The issue is that the system detects a fault when the cover is removed. I am assuming the removal of screws on the reverse of the cover are causing a circuit to be broken? I don't want to start shorting wires together in case I damage the system, but does anyone have any idea on how I trick the system into thinking the cover is still on? I am pretty sure Banham are going to charge me rather a lot to fix this up for me. I am assuming the top 2 contacts on the box on the wall are what are shorted together by the screws?

Thanks!
