I'm looking at a case which has a height of 59mm and I want to cool a processor in it that has a TDP of 77W (Socket 1155).

Given that the thickness of the case chassis will be very thin as it is very cheap and the height of the motherboard off the bottom of the chassis I will probably only have 40mm of space for cooling.

Can anyone think of any ideas to make this possible, in there any cooler that I can use?

Poo, thats too big still....that would be 52mm with a fan leaving only 7mm for the case metal thickness (1.5mm total), board thickness (1.5mm) and only 4mm for the screws that hold the motherboard.

Titan TTC-NC25/HS, youll need to google it, pretty cheap little cooler but does not come with a fan, only 31mm high. Says it can manage 130W but im a little skeptical about that. I have one on the Mrs' 45W i5 2500T, stays nice a cool with a 80x80x20mm fan and quiet too. Worth a look.

That looks perfect given its height. I'm hoping it will be fine for a 77W TDP cpu given that it claims up to 130.

Scythe Kozuti has a 40mm height, manufacturer recommends 65W for absolute silence but claims it is capable up to 95W.

Excellent - another to look at :)

Just realised, am I going to have a problem with cooling and trapped heat in this case?:

Its 185mm x 200mm x 59mm
