So I had an issue with "sparkles" appearing on the screen whenever I had both 4K & HDR output from my PS4 Pro. I found that if I switched 4k off they vanished.
Assuming a cable problem I replaced my HDMI cables with certified premium ones and everything has been fine for about a month.
No issues, full 4k/HDR goodness. Just been playing Knack for a couple of hours and the screen looked "dirty". Exited game, bought up a dark theme and the sparkles are back.

Any ideas what this might be?
I'm going PS4 Pro via Certifed Premium cable to Yamaha RXV581 to Sony XE9305 via certified premium HDMI cable.
Port 3 on the TV and the Yamaha HDMI ports are correctly set to Mode 1.

OK, slight update. I posted the issue in a couple of places and then continued my research - like to hit the knowledge of the masses as I try and solve it myself :)
So, I read on a forum that the "Automatic" settings on a PS4 Pro can be problematic. Certainly not everybody, but a few people have reported that setting to automatic can cause issues and looking at some other videos posted, I saw at least one looking very similar to mine.
So, went into display settings on the PS4 Pro and changes everything from Automatic to manual and put in the settings:
2160P YUV420
RGB Range Limited
HDR Auto
Deep Colour Auto
As soon as I put those settings in the screen refreshed and all sparkles had gone. I rebooted the PS4 Pro a number of times, fired up 4k/HDR games and they are all displaying as they should, in 4k and the HDR flag is appearing on the TV.
As a test I manually set the display to 2160P RGB and we had the sparkles back. Changed to RGB Range Full and the sparkles increased ten fold.
So a day of testing so far and the sparkles haven't re-appeared so long as I'm using the manual settings above.
