Network connections wont open
cant turn of firewall in XP
or create a rule,

this problem can occur when you use certain pci network cards and you install the wrong drivers . For some reason xp blocks/firewalls the NIC .So this may explain what is causing the problem .


i couldnt find a solution to this with a no name NIC i was trying to install , even though i believe that i had the correct drivers. so i just dumped the nic and used the onboard.

Also could be nvidia firewall settings if you are using a nforce mobo.
