Any ideas?

Evening all, just one that stumping the hell out of me.
Anything that uses the q2 engine doesn't boot up on my pc anymore.
I'm running xp, all drivers are up-to-date, etc...but I can't play the likes of cs1.6, dod, q2, cs:cz, etc...
It'll do the initial load up, get to the picture of say the cs menu screen, then crash to desktop with no error message.
Help!

CS1.6, DOD and CS:CZ all use a modified Quake engine, not Quake 2.

Have you tried running any of them in D3D mode instead of OpenGL? Likewise try Q2 in Software mode instead of OpenGL.

I realise the quake to quake 2 typo
I don't get a chance tbh, I boot up the game and it crashes when the title screen appears.
Was going to attempt to delete it then reinstall it on Steam...
