Hi I'm new to this forum & this is my first post
I'm looking at getting a new laptop & would like some advice,
I owned a HP pavilion dv9000 17" which would now be approx 6years old, I found this to be a really good machine until I had the graphics card problems these were known for.(I've paid out to have it repaired twice & it needs reballing now) so I'm looking to replace it.
So a friend of mine said I should join this forum to get some expert advice.
I have a budget of approx £850 & want the best/fastest for my money lol
I want a 17" or bigger screen
I've been looking online & have narrowed it down to Dell xps17, Samsung R780 or RF 710 (with a bit more cash)
I was going to stay away from HP after my previous experience's
Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.
It would be used for mainly entertainment watching movies ect , net surfing basic word documents & some gaming
I like the finish of the Samsung R780 & the leds around the touch pad & the finish of the Dell.
