hey guys
built my new pc a few months ago and everything's been fine
until last night,
i was playing bf3 and decided to have a quick look at something so jumped on the net while the game was playing and got this screen show up



just closed it down and not since had a problem but im one of those people who want to know when and why lol

heres my spec

i5 3570k
MB Z77 D3H
GPU radeon HD 6950
Corsair H55
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB
2 sata HD's (i know they let the side down btw lol)

if ive posted it in the wrong section somebody let me know
so i can get it moved

Appearently it's something to do with the software your using and 'compatibility' with windows..

ive sometimes found when a game uses a lot of graphics win7 trys to revert to "basic" to help ease the loads on the card and keep the game running smooth. Nothing to worry about unless it comes up when ure just using desktop and non intensive prorgrams.

Right click the program icon and click properties. Go to the compatibility tab and click disable desktop composition and disable visual themes.

Your normal settings should come back after the game closes.

thanks for the info,
i checked at the time in realtemp and the load was on something like 70%
but i did have bf3 playing in a online game and i was checking something on the net!

i had a stress thinking it was something going pear shaped lol
just put me at ease now.
