Just got an e-mail from IDNET stating
" Free bandwidth over Christmas

A little Christmas present for all our customers - bandwidth used between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, inclusive, will be completely free! Yes, we mean it, it will not be included in your monthly download allowance for that period. Enjoy!"

Much downloading to be had in my house then

We're usually limited by IDNET and I'm guilty of breaking it now and then thanks to Steam deals

I'm not convinced their bandwidth charging works anymore anyway. We got upgraded to the £35/month package, but they still only charge us £25.

We used to go over the limit a lot, and they'd send us a bill. We've not had a bill for excess bandwidth for a year, and from the looks of their 'usage chart' we've been over nearly every month. Sometimes by a lot.

I'll keep quiet.

I'm looking forward to this too, IDNet provide a great service but I think that the 30GB download cap is very restrictive for the user group that is looking for the premium service that the company offers.
