I can't work out how to either transfer money out of my ING account (online) or between ING accounts. I'm 99% sure I've transferred money out before, what am I missing? 'Move my money' only shows my external account in the 'From' dropdown

Have you linked the account? Should be all you need to do?
Manage my account > Linked accounts.

So the only account in the "Transfer From| is your linked bank account?
How many accounts do you have in total on the ING site (externally linked and actual ING ones). Dont put the names, just like
Bank Account 1
Bank Account 2
ING Account 1
ING Account 2
ING ISA 1
ING ISA 2
etc etc.
Reason I ask is there is a glitch which is a PITA at times the way ING accounts work

Hmmm, just tried it and the "Transfer From" lists all my accounts. I got a bit mixed up. The glitch I was referring to was that you cannot directly transfer money from some ING accounts to your bank, you have to move it into the main savings account before doing a 2nd transfer to the bank.
No idea why your accounts are not showing in the "From" box... Might need to give them a call.
