Evening guys,

Got a few quotes for our new roof to get done, ended up going with a friend of my mums.

Thing is, we have a 3.5m X 3.5m flat roof extension out the back.
We want this to have a pitch added to it and have it tiled like the house rather than re-felted, but the roofer says we need a joiner to put the frame on.

Anyone able give me an idea of the cost of this so i know what to expect when i get a few people out?

Thanks!

Tiles have differing minimum installation angles so you'll need to work out what roof tile you already have on the house, that gives you the minimum angle of the new roof, then you can tell the joiner what form of roof you want.
Funny kind of roofer than can't build a frame though.

I'd imagine such a space would need ventilation and some form of inspection access too.

BS: It known as the tile pitch angle, probably get away with a smiple shallow pitch roof, most tile makers like Marley, Redland, offer a range of tiles for low pitch roofs.
Tiles also have different weight depending whether they are clay or concrete.

Soffit ventilation would be ok.
