Owing to the diversity of this forums members i thought i would as for some gardening advice in the hope that there are indeed some gardeners among the OCUK masses.
Basically my back garden has consisted of paving slabs since a moved in about 2 years ago, so this summer it's time for a change starting today. I have lifted the a row of slabs along the border and have found that they have been bedded on about 2" of aggregate (i think thats what you call the gravel/dusty stuff) What i want to know is, i am planning on putting some raised beds here and was wondering, do i need to lift the aggregate or can i just work it into the soil? Given it's a raised bed can i just put topsoil in on top of it as is?
