Any last min black friday/cyber Monday builds around £700-800?

My current rig is 9 years old and I plan on using that as a work PC.

The main game I play is rust which I would like to run max without any issues, outside of that I don't mind. I was thinking since we got 14 hours left of the sales is it maybe worth getting something today.

The budget I'm thinking is around 700-800, wont need to include keyboard etc however I would like at least 1 monitor for now and I would buy a 2nd one down the line (unless the deal was 2 good not to do it now)

Can you give us the specs, just so we know what a good upgrade looks like?

A bit dated now, admittedly, but that's a high-end spec, so do you really want to switch to a i5-12400F and 4060?

Don't get me wrong, they're better than what you have, TPU's GPU database and PassMark scores suggest around twice the speed, but I wonder if you might find it underwhelming given the specs of your last PC?


Do you know what resolution the monitor will be?

no idea on res of the new screens yet, and ya i know the PC was costly when i made it last time (again thanks to the people in this group all that long ago) but rust is laggy to hell etc and I'm starting to feel my PC dying hehe

You might want to have a watch of a few videos and see what you can expect with this combination, e.g.:

Alright, I'm just asking because say... you buy a 4060 and then you buy a 4K monitor, that's not going to be an enjoyable combination in most games

that rust vid is ace, runs very nice and gives me a view of what it looks like.

any views on a screen to go with this by any chance?
