Any Links to 7800GS+ Reviews????

Have scoured internet for reviews of the Gainward 7800GS + and find nothing.
Was hoping to see it against an X850XT PE.

Imagine it may out perform the ATI AGP offering quiet well.

This review is for the Gainward 7800GS and not the + version but it will give you a rough idea of speed. The + version has 4 extra pipelines and higher GPU and memory clocks.

I had a Gainward 7800GS+ but it would'nt run in my system properly. I ended up selling it on a well known auction site.

Seeing there is only supposed to be 1500 worldwide and they have been out for months I find it strange that several stores still have stock. I have read that there are some compatibility issues and this seems to be the main reason why people are selling them on.

The price on these are going down so perhaps hold out for a bit longer and grab a bargain.

I think you would be FAR better of getting a PCIE motherboard & a card like the Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-044-CO) £149.17 Inc VAT. This card is faster than the 7800GS+.

Combined with say .. Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-088-AS) £64.57 Inc VAT.

This works out cheaper & offers you more performance.

Got mine last week, it's pretty sweet.
I can run absolutely everything on max detail, a big enough jump up from my 6800gt. Got about 3400 in 3DMark06, can't remember properly though.

You should not realy compaire the 7800GS+ to a card with only 256mb. 512MB gives a FPS boost at high resolutions and is already required to enable highest settings in moderen games (i.e. GRAW).
