Any mac engineers bootdisc available ?

Just wondered if theres any such thing for the mac ?.... for the pc I know we have hirens bootcd that has reset password and winpe enviroment for data recoveries/transfers and hdd/ram utilities... diagnostic/engineers toolkit.

If theres any such thing for the mac especially for password reset id appreciate knowing what its called, thx.

Assume you don't have the OS X DVD that came with your Mac?

You can perform a password reset using single user mode.

In fact you can do pretty much everything from either single user mode or the Install DVD.

nah sadly my m8 lost the original disc...

Doesn't stop you using single user mode though, just boot up holding "S" and you should get to a nice terminal
