Any Merc experts here?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows anything about Mercs!

My uncle has come over from Frogland in his Krautmobile Merc S320CDI (my2001) and sodding thing is doing some wierdness with the funky suspension.

Basically you turn left and the bloody left hand side shocker just deflates, when you straighten back up it fills back up.Scared the crap out of me when I took it out last night,I thought I'd broke it myself, but 'thankfully' its been doing it for a while :rolleyes:

Anyway, anyone ever come across a problem like this before, any ideas on cost of new suspension arm, Im going to take it into a specialist tomorrow and get it on the star computer to see if that can tell me what it is.

Full lock trapped air hose (as in kink)

I remember reading about this previously but not for that model

If it's anything than the above with the air suspension I'd prepare your uncle for a good shafting from Merc.

My mates CL did this and not only did it make the car undriveable the part was special order and was £2k. I think it was the main pump for the system. This was a 2006 car though so it might be different a few year prior.

Well that was a waste of time, took it to a local Merc Specialist this morning. After much sucking of air through teeth, the garage monkey says 'cant do nothing without putting it on the computer'

My response was 'Er your a specialist, why havent you got one?'

Monkeys response was that it can only be looked at by a dealer.What a waste of time

Dont suppose anyone knows any decent Merc indy's not far from the Midlands?
