Any military modellers out there?

I used to do this as a teenager. Any tips on paint and models to get back into it?

I recall Tamiya being good. Any books or internet resources anyone can recommend?

Man that is beautiful! The thing I am after in particular is creating a diorama of soldiers etc rather than models per se

I think thats more motorised stuff, planes and bigger things. I specifically mean dioramas, men about an inch tall..

It may be worth looking up the MAFVA - I think they're still on the go, and they'd certainly know where military modelling exhibitions were being held.
