I have the maximus VIII Impact and am currently looking at the Trident Z as my main option for ram. The question is 16gb or 32gb?

Just for gaming really

Thanks

Get it now like Minstadave said, it will go up and also it will get harder to match your ram. Though it’s not essential, it is better to try and get the same make /version of ram you already have.

I have just looked at the 32GB (16x2) of DDR4 I bought about 5 months ago and it’s gone up £40!!

Brexit? :D

On a serious note ddr4 is overpriced, think I'll go with the 3200 trident Z from a local supplier over the pond here in Finland

16GB is pretty comfortable and I don't see needing more in a hurry any time soon for gaming that said I'm eyeing up more as lately I've been using a RAM drive for capturing footage while playing as it has the smallest performance impact and more would allow me to capture longer and/or higher quality.

I used to "multibox" some games which made 16GB highly desirable to have - performance suffered significantly with anything less especially when swapping between clients.

I ordered some trident Z from over here(across the pond) 16gb. I am quite certain it will do for the next few years

I went with 16 GB gskill trident Z 3200mhz. I feel no need for overclocking them, although I tried and failed... Very pleased with them either way :) plenty speed
