Any need to add a cap?

Thinking of a small addition of an Infinity basslinkX powered subwoofer to the regular headunit driven car speakers, just to add a little bass. Would I need a cap with this, or is that only for systems with more hefty setups?

Thanks

dont worry about a cap, they are known to make things worse rather than better, and yes they are for bigger systems where the battery cannot put out enough oomh when the bass drops low

are you saying your going to run a sub off your head unit?

It should be fine mate, its an Infinity Basslink which is an active (amp and sub). No different than a amp and seperate subwoofer. Not a bad little box really either IMO if you after a bit of bass filling.
