Any need to upgrade other bits if I plan on getting a 5090?

Current hardware 13900K, 64GB DDR5 6000, SN850X nvme's and Seasonic PRIME TX 1000 psu running on a LG42C2, will these bits be fine? was thinking of moving to AMD X3D but as the 5090 will most prob hit over 2k in price, dont know how much ill have left.

You're gaming at 4K 120HZ? If you're getting a 5090 I'd suggest a 4K 240hz Monitor over switching to AMD to maximise your 5090.

I'm happy at 120hz atm but the 3090 was always struggling to push 4k at 60hz+ with settings maxed out. 4k 240hz at 42" does it even exist? I was under the impression at 4k the 5090 wouldnt be pushing more than 120hz native on aaa titles at 42" dlss artifacts are noticeable.

Bit of cod mainly single player games.

You will be fine with all your current bits. The 9800x3d will help even at 4k resolutions and should definatly be a good partner to a 5090.

Would just get the 5090 your system is good enough then later if you get an unstoppable itch, scratch it.

Yeah think I'll stick with just the 5090 for now as I'm sure it's gonna be more than £2k and may not even be able to the ram over to a amd build.
