Am running a Q9650 (Prolimatech cooler- Apache push/pull fans) @ 4ghz installed in a Nzxt Phantom case .

Decided that it was a bit too noisy for me so have installed the noise kit (bought from OcUk). Certainly reduced the noise (more or less silent running at min.fan speed

)but at a temperature cost.

Playing Mafia 2 for an hour - top temp = 67c. Any need to worry? (Max temp before was about 60c)

I didn't like my q9550 going over 65 but i think 70 is the max

but that's at full load. Playing games it will not heat up to full load temps. And with summer coming you might have a problem then

Max Tcase temps are 71.4 which I think is the temp under the integrated heat spreader and not actual cores.

I would say around 10c rise in the summer at least.
