Any New Monitors?

Are any new 27inch IPS 2560x1440 monitors scheduled for release soon, as i'm thinking of purchasing the Dell UltraSharp U2711.

i still hope that DELL will push out U2711's successor this year. i have a U2412 though, so i'm not in a hurry

The ASUS VA278Q should be out 'this year'.

Hopefully Dell decide to release it soon, as for the Asus it should be interesting hopefully the same price as the current Dell's.

Why wait for the successor to the Dell? It's already a great monitor.

The only things which would make it more attractive to me is a glossy version and lower price point. I think these are highly unlikely since it's aimed at professional work.

I could understand waiting to see what competitors come out with since there are only a small amount of 1440p monitors around. The past shows that they are full of empty promises though, you could be waiting for no reason.

There are always the crazy cheap Korean monitors no_1_dave linked to. They look amazing for the money and I have one on order though I doubt I'll be getting any time soon thanks to the bank holidays and international post.
