any nvidia driver above 257.21 crashes

anyone have any ideas any new driver above 257.21 crashes all my 3d games even the nvidia control panel crashes, i did full fresh install and also full format of win 7 64bit

257.21 works great but i like to keep up with all the enhancements and fixes.

Using the latest 260.99 here, no issues so far on my new card, previous 258.96 were very good on my old sli setup.
 
thanks for replies i'll totally get rid 3d vision and also try not installing the sound driver

its a standard evga 480gtx
 
great i got the 260.99 working, i still got the crash so i uninstalled the hd audio drivers rebooted, windows then re-installed them i ran all my 3d games expecting them to crash but they worked fine.

so its something to do with audio/direct x

i've disabled the ob sound and have a x-fi fatality card installed and tbh creatives drivers are years old.

now you mention it i'll prob get rid of the creative drivers and let msoft put its own on.
 
all 2xx. drivers are absolutely crap on my 8800gt.

As soon as I launch a game the screen zooms in, thought it was accessibility options for a while before I changed drivers to 19x.
