I got given an Archos 500 a while back.
Guy owed me £50 and this was like 3 months old so I thought it was a bargain ( For the time )
Im happy I got it, but the novelty wore off after a few hours and at best, I use it as a portable HD now, that just allows me to play the storeed media on it rather than as anything else!
Mine does however have full digital recording capability and I have plugged it up to the DVD, Video, and Satellite and it has been able to record all the "Impossible to Record, Protected" Media just fine.
Its a novelty, a toy, but nothing you can take seriously other than not having one will let your mates show off that they do have one.
A|t least if you have one, stuffed ina drawer, when your mates come over to try to show off their new MP4 player, you dig yours out quickly show them and throw it back in the drawer cos you are already bored of the "GAY CRAP", and that helps to knock them down a peg or two, but other than that... Money well spent on something else, is instead spent on these crap.
