I was thinking of getting one for when tinkering inside the pc. I've seen some LED ones for around a tenner at the usual stores and supermarkets but not sure if they have decent brightness, or if I should try and get a normal bulb tight head torch.
I have one I used when trekking, never thought of using it inside the PC, that's a pretty darn good idea.
I think mine was around £20-£30 and it's LED. Pretty bright.
What's wrong with a desk lamp or two?
The Duracell ones are pretty good!
We use them on the farm in the winter when the light has gone![]()
Got two.
One was a cheap one and although it's fine for walking and appears bright, it's pretty useless.
The other is a £25 one and is extremely good indeed. http://www.cluliteoutdoors.co.uk/product-detail.aspx?id=252
Merlin5, I have that exact same one (Energiser).
Trust me, it is bright enough. I use mine for sorting out my pc too, makes it so much easier when you have a focused light source.
That Energizer one also has a bright red LED that is also useful inside the pc, as it makes some things more clear/visible (think text on mobo etc).
Petzel are the best. Had one for years, good for putting tent up in the dark.
Not a head torch, but I can recommend a piece of kit which its use far exceeds its price tag.
B&Q Flexi Arm Clip Light - Small, flexible head, always somewhere to clip it too, brighter than any head torch I've seen and the batteries last forever.
Someone bought this for me for my birthday a few years back. It has been the most well used present I've ever received.![]()
