Hi Just got my PSP which I bought from my mate. when I connect it via usb to my PC I get this message.

"windows need to install driver software for your psp type A"

I choose the option "locate and install driver software (recommended)

but it doesn't find the driver and my PSP wont connect. Now I thought I would need to download a PSP driver from the net but there isnt one and the PSP is meant to coonect straight a way - but doesnt !

any ideas on the best way to get it connected ??

seems like a windows vista problem

thanks

I have vista, didn't need to do anything...

Put it in USB mode, plug it in, autodetected and installed without any intervention from me.

Check you have the latest firmware for the PSP and try it again.

Same.

...their PSP to their PC...the psp and pc belong to the person, so their, not there.

My friend could not get it to work either. But that was months ago.

it is your USB.... my usb asks me to install software every time I've tried all the PB drivers but it still asks me every time.

my psp does install though.
