im using power usenet and they offer SSL for $5 a month more, just not sure if this is worth doing or not?

im with virgin media for my broadband

I think the current virgin broadband 'illegal' download monitoring is mostly based off of honey pots on P2P netwoks so I doubt they scan any usenet traffic, that said, better safe than sorry. I use it, my provider offers it for free and I'm happier in the knowledge that the only people who know whats coming over that link are me and my usenet provider. And with virgin going the way they are that can only be a good thing.

Thats actually a really good deal 160days retention too, its got me thinking of leaving giganews, trouble is though i have done this on a number of occasions and they always come back and bite me as they never as good i might just sign up for 1 month even though giganews is still running and see if its any good.

Edit: Make sure you log into your astraweb account and get the secure server information which i guess is the ssl one, its a different server address.
