Any opinions on the Electriq 39" QHD monitor?

My son wants to try gaming at more than 60hz, so we're potentially going to pinch his 43" Hisense and get him a similarly sized monitor.

The Electriq has caught my eye as it seems ridiculously cheap for the spec, anyone got one and can let me know what they think please?

He's gaming on a Ryzen 3600 and RTX 3070, so 1440p is probably the sweet spot. Thanks.

I don't have any experience myself with the brand or model, but interested to see peoples opinions as a few of their other models have caught my eye, as you said they seem very good value for money!

What I would say is that I think 39" might be a bit big for 1440p and would probably be looking at 4k at that res (which the 3070 should handle in many games with a few settings lowered), I have a 27" 1440 monitor and I think that's about right in terms of pixel size, although 32" would probably be fine too.

Thanks for the reply, his Hisense TV is 4k, but only 60hz, so there's probably not much point in getting a higher hz 4k monitor, as the 3070 only just gets 60fps in modern games.

its a good monitor, 1440p is OK for usage. Though quality control isn't the best, and mine ended up packing in after several months of use, so would in all honesty skip this screen.

Thank you, I think that's what I'll do, he can stick with 60fps for now, it still looks amazing on his TV anyway.

I do have their Electriq 43" Super Ultrawide (3840x1200 32:10) which I predominantly use for sim racing and I wouldn't be without it. It can't be beaten for the money and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another if it failed. The supplier (behind the Electriq brand?) though, a slightly different story; they're a little...chaotic.
