evening all

so i've got some charts i want to plot as bubble plots, and sadly i've reached the end of what can feasably be done within excel so i'm having a crack at using origin instead.

basically i have 5 columns of data:
X-axis position
Y axis position
Bubble size
Bubble colour
legend text

the last 2 are giving me headaches. the bubble colour column is a numerical value that relates to the method used, so all values using Method A get a 1, all values using method B get a 2 etc. this means the colours of the bubbles will show which method is being used. likewise the legend text column is the name of that method in text form.

when i use the default legend tool it'll give me the colours, but the value stated is from the bubble colour column (which is just a number) and instead i'd like it to display the values from the legend text column (which is the name of the method being used that corresponds to that number)

it's one of those things that feels like it shouldn't be difficult, but been banging my head against a wall unable to figure it out.
