my cousin just rang me to say that his pc running slow, from what he said was he was watching a film, left the pc on, came back, pc had frozen, so ctrl,alt deleted, allowed to turn the pc off, fans shut down montior went off etc however the pc light stayed on, so he turned it off at the mains, now he said he is having problems when starting the pc. It works fine once loaded but the start up is painful.
He said he has run avast which showed one virus, deleted it, deleted the film and run Ccleaner aswel. but it still gets a delayed start. i told him to de-frag it just to rule a bit of file sorting will help, but any other idea's ?
