Morning all.
Recently upgraded to a nice set of B&W 684's (love them) and to go with them I bought a B&W CC6 S2 Center from eBay (don't love).
From day one the center lacked volume and, to me, sounded like the tweeter wasn't working.
I thought I might have had some setting on the AVR set incorrectly (maybe I had done something to overcompensate for the lack of quality from the center speaker it had replaced) but no amount of tweaking would bring it in line with what I expected.
The other night I finally got around to testing this a bit further so I removed the jumper bar from the high and low frequency inputs before connecting it directly to the LF input (sound comes out large speakers) and HF inputs - no sound at all.
Testing this with my other speakers confirms that what I'm doing should work - I should get sound from just the tweeter if I connect it to just the HF input.
Anyway, I opened a case on eBay and I'm hoping it gets resolved through that easily enough (always seems to be in buyers favor) but since he has replied to me stating that it worked when he posted it I'm just wondering if there's anything else I can do before going through the hassle of returning it and then finding another.
Suggestions welcome!
Regards,
Roy
