Any P+S cameras record in RAW?

I'm looking at learning a bit about photography, but rather than getting a DSLR now, I was thinking of getting a small P+S camera that is easy to carry around with me, take some snaps, then get used to using various image manipulation packages, before I get a DSLR.

The P+S would then be good for everyday use, then use the DSLR when I know I'd be looking to take pictures.

So, are there any cameras that would suit my needs? The ability to record in RAW format would be nice as it would allow more posibilities when editing images, and possibly a few manual options so I could get the hang of a few features before migrating to something more serious.

Budget is flexible, but as always looking to spend as little as possible, but willing to spend more if you get more bang for the buck.

If you want a small camera with RAW it seems you need to pay a bit more:
I'd buy the Lumix DMC-LX1 because it looks sweet.
Canon Powershot S70 - not small but very good from what reviews say.

the lx2 is cheaper on some sites than the lx1 yet has a higher resolution ccd(which I know doesn't neccesarily mean a better picture). Is there a reason the lx1 is more expensive (better lens, more options etc)?

I used to have an s80, but the sliding lens cover was a bit flimsy, spoiling an otherwise nice camera (didn't shoot RAW files though). Was the older s70 better in terms of build?

Have been looking at cameras this week, and I wanted something with RAW support. Have taken a bit of a risk and bought a new LX1 off the bay of E for £110. Had looked at FZ8 and FZ50 but the LX1 caught my eye and I had seen them in Etailers for £199inc vat+postage.

Going to have a play with it and take it on holiday with me to Salzburg and St Wolfgang in June. Looking forward to mastering this beast, I think it will have a steep learning curve.
