Recently and for years and years I have upgraded everything in my computer except for one thing....Speakers.

I have the same speakers that I have had for around 14 years and they were cheap when I got them. They are yamaha 2.1 with a sub woofer but the sound is awsome frome them. They cost me £20 or £30 can't remember but deffo wasn't more than that. I have bought other speakers for my wifes computer and spent a fair amount of money on some (upto £140) and they sound poor compared to my cheapos.

Anybody else still have anything they have no intention of changing?

My speakers have also lasted quite some time:D Still sound fantastic for games/music too. Doubt I will ever replace them unless they suddenly die :)

I still have a creative DTT 2200 5.1 speaker set, was around £80ish. It must be well over a decade old now. Although in fairness these have been upgraded too. As the speakers aren't hardwired it was easy to replace the small speakers.

I kept the satellite speakers small but the front 3 speakers I upgraded to 3 ways. It would be nice to have a digital set but until the day the kit dies, I'm happy to keep using it as is :)

The only thing i've never upgraded.. is my RAM, haven't had the need to upgrade it as 8gb is suffice for me.

Same here, still got the creative speakers and audigy 4 sound card that originally came with my pre built system 7yrs or so ago, work fine so wont be upgrading them.

Heh, I've had the same set of Tannoys since about 2000.

As for the PC, did have an XP1800/512mb/GF3 Mesh piece of poo for about 10 years or so :D
It cost £1600 new (inc 19" flat CRT) when I bought it and was top of the range at the time :o Smashed UT99 :D
Had my old Xonar D2 in there for a while...

Sound card... usually just use the onboard sound, and I have never actually purchased a dedicated card. Ever..... :o

Everything of mine has been upgraded (Downgraded in some ways too! :()

I would have never changed my Logitech G15 v1 if I didn't spill coke on it. I loved that keyboard.

headphones and monitors. Had both 22'' monitors for around 7 years now. headphones around 4 years.

neither are particularly old i guess, they both do what i require so i've never felt the need to upgrade them.

I have had a Boston Accoustics Digital Media Theatre 2.1 speaker set since buying a Gateway PC in possibly 1998 (maybe earlier). They have been brilliant.

Only other thing would be my sidewinder forcefeedback wheel, but only because I've never bought another. The thing has a gameport connection so I can't plug it into my PC (even then, I don't think it would work)

edit, thinking about gameports, I have a CH Flightstick that if it was USB would still be working today and I'm sure that's nearly 17 years old

My mate has an IBM mechanical keyboard from when they were standard that he kept and is now very smug about.

Well with my original build I went through 3 cases then upgraded everything to my current spec(keeping case I had)

Nothing hasn't been upgraded :p

Next purchase will be an SSD :)

upgrade everything. ive even upgraded my desk to fit more large monitors.

In the future, im not sure about upgrading my case, due to teh fact that its fully custom and stuff it will cost far too much to "upgrade"

Don't fix what ain't broken :P Had this baby since 96-97 and apart from being shoved in the attic for 8 months last year while I used an iMac its been in use every day.
