Any performance improvements going from PCIe 1.0a -> PCIe 2 for a single HD6970 ?

Hi,

I have a HD6970 which is in my C2Q 9450 machine using a MSI main board with only PCIe 1.0a.

Would I see any big benefits going up to PCIe 2 on a H67 based board with an i5 2500(k or not but don't intend to overclock).

I am aware of the bandwidth differences but would like to know if they are likely to be having an impact on my system and if so would the new processor and PCIe bandwidth make a big difference.

Thanks

okay then :).

Looks like I may need to pop out and get that i5 today.

Any idea what sort of performance benefits I am likely to see ?, Anyone aware of any decent comparisons ?

Thanks
