I think my wife has a problem, addicted to a drug that has been prescribed and the doctor keeps upping the dosage. I can’t remember the name of it, she started to hide them up when i asked about them and has now kicked me out of the house so i can’t even find out. So i am hoping there is a pharmacist in the house who could help.
My wife started to get very bad head aches, about 3 years and quickly developed into very severe migraines. She would always talk about how it felt like something was crawling under her skull. These pains become constant, to the point she almost couldn’t function. She had a number of scans and they all came back clear. The doctors have tried a few different drugs. The last one made her gain weight and this of coarse affected her self esteem, she then went back to the doctors and they changed her to something different.
The doctor told he at the time that they needed to careful with this one and slowly increase the dosage they go along. went from 5mg x2 a day, 10mg, 50mg and i am sure she started to hide them when they went to 100mg i think. one in the morning one before bed but she’s works nights.
The doctor also, said that the drug has a side affects that suppresses hunger and could lead to weight loss, so my wife was happy. My wife then informed me that this drug is also used by alcoholics to help them stop the craving. Its is also sold on the black market to anorexic’s. This the drug causes tiredness, dizziness and vision problems. When my wife asked if i could collect her prescription, the pharmacist told they that these are not giving out lightly and will need to order them in.
During the last 3-6 months i have seen her change, physically what is great, but mentally.... my good she is so angry i have seen her loss the plot over the smallest of things..... and so much more. So can any Pharmacist help me figure out what this drug is called, so i do some research into them, what i should have done at the time but i didn’t as i busy dealing with my own problems. I am so concerned about her and my children. I am sorry if there are loads of spelling or poor grammar i haven’t slept for the last couple of night.
