Does anyone have any experience of uploading to Rightmove and similar websites using another website as the feed (a self managed property website)?

I realise there are quite a few portals out there that you can pay to do the job for you but was wondering if it's possible to do on a 'reasonable budget' and would be of benefit to do so?

Do it all the time, cron job runs a PHP file that FTP's a BLM + images overnight to RM (and just about every other portal) what I don't have though is anything open source I can share with you, estate agency web development is a cut throat business unfortunately. You're probably best downloading the latest RM spec document and getting someone from rentacoder/vWorker or similar to give you a quote.

Seems from their example to be a pretty simple/hacky plaintext format, a glorified CSV really:
