Any plumbers? Boiler/heating people here?

I expect there's a few, so I have a quick question.

Our guttering has just about given up (trying to get a decent quote for some more....) - We just had a massive thunder storm with a ton of rain. It seems loads of it got into the flue and made its way right through the boiler and onto the kitchen work tops. I guess maybe a pint of water come though before the rain stopped.

Its still dripping now, so I turned it off at the wall. Once it seems dry, is it ok to turn it back on again? Will it have got into any electrics or done any real damage?

Cheers

you might want to prioritise this work

I got a bloke coming around tomorrow.

Had a couple of quotes, but nobody just wants to do basic guttering, they all want to do the extras, like plastic sleeves and all the other crap. :(

I've heard it should cost about £500 for just gutters, but the last one wanted like £1800.
