There's some wall mounted bath taps on the bay that I like, from china and hong kong. They're only around £40, whereas most of these sort of things go for much more. Will they be ok to buy or be absolute crap, perhaps plastic coated in chrome? Here's pictures of them. They come with 2 years guarantee.

I've fitted similar 'blades' from ebay before and whilst the visible parts are generally ok (they won't be plastic) the mechanics can leave a lot to be desired.
Also if (more likely when) a cartridge fails and they start to drip you might not be able to source replacement ones unless they use a generic type.
They will look good and save you money short term but you might be better off getting a reputable make long term :)

Also the chrome coating is easily damaged on the cheaper ebay taps - be very careful what you use to clean them.

Thanks guys, on your advice I'm definitely staying away from the HK cheapos. I think I'd have to spend at least £300 to get those same designs in good quality.

I've shortlisted four I like between £95 and £150 on the bay, but unfortunately I can't link them. They all have 10 to 20 year guarantees, are all single lever units, and are made by Sagittarius, home of ultra helix, and Hudson Reed if those names mean anything. Mid range prices, should be alright no? They won't get used that much as I shower all the time and don't have baths anymore really.

I buy my bathrooms from here

They are much cheaper then buying in the uk.

Also try ebay for dornbracht taps, they are probably the best taps you can buy without spending silly money and I have picked up a few on ebay for £200 each.

Keuco are also very good and again I have seen a few go on ebay for not too much.

Thanks but none of those brands are giving me wall mounted bath fillers. Also I need something by wednesday. So how about those ones I linked. The Moods Lazio has the cooler design, but it's a lift and turn action rather than the other one which is a simple left and right stalk lever. I'm starting to veer more towards the ultra helix.
