Any Plus Net users here and are you hating it?

I been a plusnet user for about 6 years back in the Dial up days with Home Highway then went over to broadband and I been well please untill the past 4 month been getting terrible speed and the like
 
I used to be with them, got fed up of the poor speeds and constant packet loss which made gaming impossible. Moved over to UKFSN (Entanet) and I've never been happier.
 
Used to be with them (2.5 years), then moved as they went downhill. I moved to Nilly, and now to Sky (LLU).
 
I'm with them and don't have any complaints at the moment - it's a 2mbps connection and i quite often see usenet trundling along at ~250KB/s which is roughly the theoretical max on 2mbps.

haven't been playing any games recently though, too much uni work :(
 
My bruv is with them and they upgraded him to the upto 8meg connection but he can't sync higher than 1meg? Is that his rubbish 3Com router do you think or his line??

Any advice would be great as I want to him him get the best out of his line ;)
 
Well I just get mix views. Some days it fast as hell and some days it like a snail... Sometime I have to put up with speed like a snail for about 5 days before it picks up again. My local exchange NEVER ever been in Red always green as i live in a small village...

I just dont know what to do to be honest. Is it really an pain to move ISP? It worries if i move and both start billing me know what i mean as i seen people on here leaving an isp and still getting billed.
 
I am on Plus.Net and it's awful.

At 8am when I wake up during the week, i turn on NZB-O-Matic and start downloads from USENET and get 250k/s on average but as soon as I get home at 6pm the speed is a pathetic 20k/s. This weekend has been even worse it has really become a shocking state of affairs, so I have asked to leave thing is I have no idea who is a suitable replacement.

Hmmm another customer with a problem this weekend though it was only me. I have found this weekend a nightmare too but it been great all week thou

I have had problems since beginning of january with the lack of any speed at peak times.

I have started several threads on the discussion forums on plus.net

on an up to 8mb line, those speeds above are terrible and thats only an indication of the performance issues. I try just browsing the internet and it's weofully slow - like dialup infact.

I have finally asked for them to cancel my account but I need to have an ISP lined up so they can give me a MAC code.

That is Poor..... Let us know who you decide to join with and I am going to look for a new provider and move too but who i dont know and like to go to one that is not tied to a 12 month contract
