Any point changing an E6320?

For my brother whos machine running at 3.6ghz with 1.425v 24/7.

Main use is gaming and video encoding. He was looking at the E7300 because of SSE 4.1, but it has less cache.

Any point in this or should he be looking at an E8***

I am too thinking about CPU upgrade but all I use it for is internet and gaming and while a new dual/quad CPU is going to be better, I'm not sure I'll see £100++ worth of performance increase from it.

I'd say there isn't really any point. He'd be paying £150~ for something that really wouldn't make that much of a difference and could quite possibly run slower in programs that don't use more then 2 cores assuming he doesn't get the quad to over 3.6ghz.
