Will be getting more and more into pc gaming this year.

I don't do any intense applications.

Running windows 7 64bit.

I only ask as my ram is on offer for PEANUTS!

But it would delay my gpu purchase :(

I currently have 4gb in my i5 750 setup and it appears to be enough, all of the time. BFBC2 eats allot of the that RAM but doesn't take all 4gb.

The Cheapness of the RAM and todays special offer in particular has got me thinking too.

Get 8gb while it's cheap, manufacturers are selling at production cost atm and reducing output, the price has to go back up or they will start going bankrupt. If that happens ram prices will really increase.

Spot on Jak, you only have to look at DDR2 prices now & in the past.
With current DDR3 prices you be daft not to get 8gb, but I wonder how much longer DDR3 with stay at current prices.

With OcUK having Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB at 44:99p it's a bargain.

Any build I do for friends, I fit 8gb as minimum spec now.

Regularly see my ram usage over 6gb since i moved to 12gb, can't say i have noticed much real world difference but the move form 6 to 12gb cost me £10 once i sold my old kit so was a no brainer.
