Hi All,

After getting a soundbar over Christmas we have been getting back into watching movies more as a family.

I got the current player around 6 - 7 years ago, back then it only cost around £120ish and was bundled with around 4 or 5 blurays.

Just wondering if there is any benefit for me to change the player to a more recent model? Current one still plays movies fine.

I guess the next step would be to just wait and upgrade to 4K as and when we decide to chance the TV??

Thanks

Big difference I saw when replacing my old Samsung player was loading times, it took an age to start or load-up the film menu(s)

Also smart features such as catch up TV and internet access which my original didn't have.

To be honest don't find the load times too bad, definitely not bad enough to notice.

Guess I will just wait till I upgrade TV.

Thanks guys!!

Yeah, I'm still rocking an old Panasonic BD35 from around the same time as the OP's player, and it's load times are terrible.

So have I. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Besides it doesn't have the hollywoodstudiosantipiracyDRMpainintheneckware better known as cinavia installed, which is good. ;)

Even thats now not a problem on new players if you do something first (free) ;)
