Any point in upgrading a 1070 Ti

Will depend on what you play and your system. I'm running a 1080 and I've been pondering an upgrade to a 2070/80 super but can't justify the outlay - wishing I'd bought a 1080ti originally to be honest

I'm still running a 1070 (non ti) at 1440p - 60Hz

BF5 - 60-90 fps, mix of high and ultra
Forza Horizon 4 - around 100 or more, all ultra I think (game pass ran out now so can't check)
RDR2 is the only game I'm struggling with, but perfectly playable in 1080p at a mix of low/medium settings with high textures, still looks great but gets a little choppy at times

I can deal with that until either RTX 3070 or RX5800 series show their faces

For RDR2 just use the digital foundry optimised settings and it will look an run great.

I'm mainly a digital artist so was wondering what benefit there might have been going from the 1070ti to the 2070 Super. I have a 4k 60hz monitor 42inch. Every now and then I'll play the Witcher etc. Nothing that requires stonking game rates. I have an I9 32 gig of ram
Edit: Probably no benefit for photoshop and a marginal 25% improvement for everything else.

Next gen consoles next year. Should really raise the bar graphics wise. This late in the game it's unwise to spend money on current gen graphics hardware, when we are on the cusp of a new console generation.

Well I'm really enjoying the outerworlds at decent settings only because I upgraded at bit of an awkward time.
I was willing to pay the price of admission however so it just depends.
If you physically want to upgrade then do it. There's a lot of carte blanche 'wait' around here, it's well meant with many good reasons, I get it, but it can be an informed decision that could result in several months gaming enjoyment in the here and now.

Im in the same boat with my 1080ti. I would probably hold off untill next gen comes out. Current gen will get you better performance but it's just too expensive for the increase in performance. If I was going to be spending that much money again, I would want a little more power for what I'm spending. Hence why I'm so pleased with what I spent on my 1080ti

I’m sitting on my 1080Ti for now, probably until something midrange turns up that blows it away. With the advent of the 2080Ti the high end has just gotten too expensive for me to be worth it.

1080Ti I wonder if it will ever be repeated by NV?Def
in the hall of fame as a legendary GPU
That 1080ti is biting NV in the a$$ right now because it was too good. Untill AMD catch up on the high end (2080ti level performance) I don't think we will see a repeat unfortunately.
