Any point in upgrading from Chromecast to Google TV Chromecast?

I have a chromecast at the moment, primarily used for streaming videos and stuff from my desktop PC to my TV.

TV is a Samsung 2016 model smart TV so has apps etc. in it already and is 4k/HDR.

I was thinking of upgrading my chromecast to the one with Google TV, primarily for laziness tbh. I have a Sonos sound bar to it and got Google Assistant on it. Through that, I can turn my TV on and off, and play music etc., but that's about it. I couldn't tell it to play certain shows etc. in 4k, since it plays it through the chromecast rather than through the TV apps. I was thinking of getting the 4k chromecast to solve this.

Question really is, other than this benefit, do I get anything else? Is there really much point in it if I already have a smart TV? Google TV seems like it might be a bit useful, consolidating shows in one place rather than across apps, but that's about it.

Is there anything I'm missing here? Is there any particular reason to upgrade other than it facilitating my laziness in using a remote?
